Your Success is Our Priority
As a statewide association, the NCSTA offers many different benefits to our members. Our primary purpose is to protect and preserve the interests of the onsite wastewater industry.
We take an unbiased, holistic approach to educating our members and the industry on current trends and new technologies to keep them informed of changes while allowing them the freedom to make informed decisions for the betterment of their companies and their customers.

Protecting Your Interests with Lawmakers
One of the primary functions of the NCSTA is to protect the onsite wastewater industry from governmental overreach. It is among our chief priorities to work with lawmakers to ensure new policies and procedures are effective, efficient and do not create further problems for industry companies.
We have a successful track record of both aiding in the creation of healthy legislation while intercepting damaging legislation before it is signed into law. By joining the NCSTA, you are protection your own interest in the future of the industry.

Free Access to Education, Training & Events
Member companies as well as family members and all employees enjoy free access to all education and training seminars as well as events put on by the NCSTA. Because the state of North Carolina requires 6 hours of continuing education credits every year, member companies can enjoy unlimited access to our education seminars held throughout the state to remain current on their certifications and mandatory requirements.
For the convenience of our members, we offer classes up to 12 times per year in numerous locations throughout the state, making it convenient for members to find a continuing education course in their area.

Improving Public Perception
For too long, the onsite wastewater industry has had a negative perception in the public eye—both by what it offers as a service as well as career opportunities for individuals.
We are working to change the public’s perception of the industry to see the benefits that onsite wastewater systems provide as well as the amazing career opportunities that exist within the industry.
We as an industry must conduct ourselves ethically and with professionalism in order to improve the public’s perception of our industry as a whole.

Promoting the Use of Onsite Wastewater Systems as an Alternative to Centralized sewer
As communities are growing and more people inhabit a given area, centralized sewer systems are in danger of reaching capacity more rapidly.
We at the NCSTA continue to work with local governments and the like to promote the use of onsite wastewater systems and their ability to lessen the strain on central sewer systems.
This in turn promotes your business as more individuals explore utilizing onsite wastewater systems as an alternative to city sewer.

Opportunities to Connect
Over and over again, we hear from members the value of the relationships they’ve built with other members and companies who support or supply the onsite wastewater industry. When they encounter a problem, they have an entire network of people they can contact to help find a solution. That includes personal connections with other business owners but also member companies who offer equipment and services specific to the industry. The NCSTA is truly helping to create a family within the onsite wastewater industry in North Carolina, committed to preserving your ability to succeed and stay in business.
We as an industry must conduct ourselves ethically and with professionalism in order to improve the public’s perception of our industry as a whole.
